Spicy Velvet is a German-Ghanaian DJ, radio host, and curator whose genre-fluid sets blend Afro sounds, soul, dancehall, hip hop, electronic music and unexpected gems into deeply connective experiences. Her love of music began in broadcasting, presenting her own show, Frozen Stew, on Fuse FM while studying at the University of Manchester, where she also worked as the station's Social Media Manager and interviewed artists including Big Narstie and Charlie Sloth.
Since beginning her DJ journey in 2024, Spicy Velvet has played across the UK and internationally, with appearances in Ghana, Thailand and Brazil, alongside sets for Manchester International Festival, Band on the Wall, 2Funky Music Cafe, New Art Exchange, Black Owned Studios MCR, and Reform Radio.
