I am a producer based in Cape Town, goes by the name of "Spar Wabo". "Spar" was the name that one of my friends called me in school from there I used and added, "Wabo" that is meant "For Other" so together it works and eventually people started recognizing it and it took off. I started producing in 2017 started with Hip Hop, then started and Afro, and finally Gqom (Kind of AfroHouse genre) and it is the most dominant sound in the Cape Town party scene. You hear it at nightclubs in town, townships. Everywhere. Gqom brings life to the party scene and a night is not complete without gqom sounds.
