Soultribe is the collaboration of two UK house music DJ's, Wayne Haist & Matthew Green. Both Wayne and Matthew came to house music in pretty much the same way, hedonistic Friday, Wednesday and then later on Saturday nights in the now infamous Hacienda nightclub, Manchester, starting in the summer of 1988, listening to the music of those who have now become some of their favourite dance music dj's and also artists in their own right, such as Mike Pickering (MPeople), Graeme Park, John Dasilva, Sasha, Steve Williams..
Both were mesmerized by the music, the atmosphere and the way the DJ's controlled the crowd and created a journey through the night and they decided they wanted to be part of it. Both went on to learn their trade behind the decks the hard way – buying a set of Technics SL1210s, taking a box vinyl records and spending every spare moment locked away in their bedroom, searching out the best vinyl in the underground record stores of Leeds & Manchester and every Friday and
