Isle Of Music, Malta
Sonic J, a Maltese artist born in 1982, started DJing in 2000. His
first gigs were in a small feast club, until he began DJ lessons at a
club in the south of Malta called X-Generation. He learned the craft
the proper way - on turntables - and had his first real gig at the
same club. From then on, he never looked back. Over the next 10 years,
he played in most Maltese clubs and at big events featuring
international artists.
His peak came in 2010 and 2011 when he performed at Castle Club, Nissi
Beach, and the Fantasy Boat Party, all in Ayia Napa, Cyprus.
Sonic J specialises in Vocal Commercial House, Tech House, and Afro
House. Recently, he’s been experimenting with his own mashups and new
music productions.
Two of his mottos are:
“If you want your dream to become reality, chase them.”
and
“Don’t do drugs, do only music, because music is LOVE.”
His radio show, IN D VAULT on Wild Style Radio UK, focuses on Afro and Tech House.
