Slowmance

Shanghai, China

Launched in 2013, Slowmance acts as a counter-force to Shanghai's saturated house and techno scene by focusing on the deeper side of leftfield disco, house, and funk. They are responsible for some of the more intimate and memorable nights in the city, introducing fresh international acts like San Francisco's PillowTalk.

Now re-envisioned by likeminded crate diggers Allan Marshall (Yeti Dis:ko), Raz (Co:motion), and Miki Discosnot (Shiny Shoes), Slowmance aims to bring their signature leftfield sound to Elevator.

For the re-launch, the crew welcomes the Australian-via-Berlin enigma, Tornado Wallace (Beats in Space), to the booth at Elevator. Tornado is responsible for stand out EPs on labels such as Beats In Space, ESP Institute, and Delusions Of Grandeur, and is supported by top shelf contemporary artists like Andrew Weatherall, DJ Harvey, and Tim Sweeney. His eclectic style represents Slowmance's vision and sound-print perfectly. Expect a musical journey though oddities that wil
