Has Been Indeed Because Of Being Exposed To…
The Absolute Greatness Of Mr. Peabo Bryson.
I’m Extremely Heartbroken 💔 Today.
When I Started DJing In 1973 At 13 Years Old…
I Had The Talent BUT Hadn’t Connected With A Favorite Artist Yet. Until 1976 My Sophomore - Junior Years In High School. When Peabo Dropped His Album “Peabo” And I Heard “I Can Make It Better”.
Then His Follow Up Album In 77 “Reaching For The Sky” Had Me Hooked Forever On This Once In A Lifetime Talent.
The Hits Kept Coming And Coming, Each A Musical Masterpiece On The Reaching for the Sky Album “Feel the Fire" “Hold On to the World". And In 1978 The Astonishing “Crosswinds” Album Influenced Me Forever Because Of Songs Like The Title Track Of Course (Crosswinds) “I'm So Into You" “She's a Woman" That I Played On My Stream Sunday “Don't Touch Me" & So Much More Excellence.
Today Is Truthfully An Unbelievably Sad Day For Me And I Love This Man’s Legacy Of Music 🎼 So Much It Spoke To Me On An Artistry Level. As Well I’d Always Say To Myself As A Kid In 1976 “He’s Only 9 Years Older Than I Am” Which Really Inspired Me As An Inspiring Writer.
I Tell People All The Time “I Love House Music, BUT…I Was Raised On Authentic Soul Music” And Peabo IS One Of The Artist Who Truly Cultivated & Influenced What I Fell In Love With.
I’m Literally Fighting Tears Posting This And Need To Sent Deepest Condolences To His Family 🙏🏾 Friends And Fans Of All Ages. Blessings To My Friend Sister Tracy Hamlin Who Toured With Peabo As Well, Today Is Truly A Sad Day 💔 Rest In Peace
