Siesta Submarina is one of the more interesting contemporary LIVE techno acts that have emerged from Norway. His live sets are techno in the truest sense; deep, evolving, mechanic and yet strangely human. Improvising when performing, while always keeping a keen ear on detail and rhythm, are inspiring trademarks of his. Siesta Submarina is not a DJ act, all the music is original material performed live on stage with hardware synthesizers, samplers, analogue filters and what have you. Equally inspired by classic techno labels such as Drumcode/Code Red, Axis/Purpose Maker, User, Kanzleramt, Inside and modern imprints like Ostgut Ton, Klockworks, Avian, Hessle Audio, Works the Long Nights, CLR and oddballs like Sex Tags Mania and Something, the techno of Siesta Submarina always finds new directions, from deep and mellow dub to fast-paced, hard minimalist techno.
