Never afraid to dig deep into his extensive music collection, his emotive selections are a type of therapy. Having grown up during the halcyon days of the Manchester dance music scene hearing funk music (Chic, Parliament), disco music (Cerrone, Giorgio Moroder), and house music (Larry Heard, Derrick May) … all of which became infused with his love for techno and acid house, Ben has ended up with quite a spectrum of musical influences that he has played in the bars and discotheques of Manchester and beyond. Today, this translates into sets where he picks apart and combines all the pieces of the music that he loves: beautiful synth work, ethereal backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks – all on top of a pronounced foot-shuffling house beat.
