I’m Michael, also known as DJ Scratchy One. Music has been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember — growing up in a family where sound, rhythm, and culture shaped everything around me. What started with turntables in my bedroom grew into a lifelong journey through clubs, radio, and stages across the world. I’ve had the privilege of sharing decks with some of the legends who inspired me, from Jazzy Jeff to Grandmaster Flash, but what drives me most is the energy of a dancefloor and the joy of connecting people through music. With Audiodope, I explored soulful, forward-thinking sounds and released an album that took us across Europe. Now, through my solo project Substanceoverstyle, I’m blending Hip-Hop, House, and BrokenBeat into something that feels true to who I am today. Whether I’m DJing, producing, or running my radio show, my mission is simple: celebrate the craft, respect the culture, and keep the music moving forward.
