I started playing around 14 years ago. It was at the time UKG was coming out of the underground and I fell straight in. My musical tastes run from Skrillex to Ben Howard, Dubstep to Folk. Being top of UKG at the time, DJ EZ and the Pure Garage releases influenced my style a lot whilst I was learning. I've always preferred chopped vocals, light melodies and big basslines. After being away for a while I've come back to find Garage has changed and for the better, its seems to have gone back underground and grown up, a bit like me , the rudeboy attitude's been dropped and its regained its smoothness. It's encompassing all of my favourite elements of the genre more and seems to be more house driven.
I've also started playing some Electro as well, I still love a warping bassline........
