Sal­vador Dalek was born June 2001 as the col­lab­o­ra­tive project iden­tity of mul­ti­me­dia musician/artist/designers Eric Scott and Pete Moraites, after meet­ing at a work­shop with Tomato based in New York City. They have cho­sen this recording/remixing moniker as a chan­nel for new cre­ative and pro­fes­sional activities.

Not to be con­fused with Salvador’s wiser, older sib­ling, Julie Android, Dalek oper­ates in a def­i­n­i­tion­less, sam­pladelic universe.

The first Sal­vador Dalek pub­lic event – was a per­for­mance LIVE JAM (Lis­ten) in Venice, CA dur­ing the Pete Moraites DVD launch party in May 2006.

The lat­est was less than one month ago, at The Room in Santa Mon­ica, CA where Eric Scott reg­u­larly guest-DJ’s trip-hop, down­tempo and sur­re­al­is­ti­cally slurry beats on Thurs­day nights, as one of the guest DJs in a reg­u­lar part of the Trip­notic Lounge series.
