Ali Basta is a DJ, percussionist, gig MC, radio host (FBi Radio) and founder/producer for the Herbassia label in his hometown of Eora. Ali Basta’s musical roots stem from heavy dub soundsystem culture, his selections ranging from dancehall, dubstep, steppers and deep groove, to high-energy, ethnic obscurities and dancefloor-ready world rhythms. Recent festival appearances include Island Vibe, Kuranda Roots, Earth Frequency and Tribe Accession, but it’s within an Inner-West warehouse that you’ll most likely be able to hear him.
