In 2011, a sold out MAXIM Magazine New Year's Eve party at the Chinese Theatre and a residency at Ecco Ultra Lounge, now named Couture in Hollywood, California, launched Romy's professional DJ career. He quickly earned the opportunity to play music festivals such as Coachella on The Do Lab Stage in 2013, Lightning In A Bottle four years in a row, and Chalice Festival. His DJ success has resulted in playing alongside names such as Big Gigantic, Griz, Marques Wyatt, Capital Cities, The Gaslamp Killer, Cassian, and Mark Lewis, among others. His event resume also includes multiple performances at Burning Man 2013 & 2014 and a 2014/2015 tour through Yucatan and Quintana Roo, Mexico. For handling his own bookings and promotion, Romy Ancona has advanced very quickly in the entertainment industry as an independent artist.
