Rodney Torro is a DJ/Producer who was born on October 13th, 1989 in the Dutch town Hilversum. Inspirited by many great DJ’s like Gabry Ponte and Jochen Miller, he started his career as a DJ by the age of 11. Rodney played as DJ Rod at different stages, local bar and canteens throughout the Netherlands. He also produced his own remixes of famous commercial tracks, which started his journey towards his own sound. In 2011, he created the project ’Yearmix’ for New Years Eve. The Yearmix is a speedmix with dozens of commercial tracks that are releases that year, sampled into a couple of minutes. The success of the first yearmix motivated him to make it an annual tradition. The first 5 successful yearmixes were released under the name of DJ Rod. Rodney Torro introduced his current stage name in 2016 with his first track ’Torro Mania’, and many would follow.
