Bassist and composer Robert Perry has played, composed and taught many different styles of music in his long career and is now emerging as a fresh voice on the music scene with his Periscope Ensemble. (PeriscopeEnsemble.org)
Largely self-taught through the study of classical and jazz scores, devouring countless books on harmony and its application through history, Perry had a short learning stage at Birmingham Conservatoire before following his own musical direction. As a composer Perry was originally inspired by Graham Collier.
