Like most things these days, this idea was dropped in the DMs. A group of us were critiquing our favourite show, wondering when Valerie was going to get her due (it’s a running theme), if it means anything that Ronnie is Latinx if they weren't going to talk about it, and what is the deal with Mrs. McCoy anyway?
We kept coming back to the same point: Riverdale needs a bit more colour...that there are issues of race, sex, and gender that are ripe for examination and discussion. As rabid consumers of pop culture who all happen to be POC, we know we weren't the only ones asking these questions.
