I have for decades enjoyed making for friends mix tapes, then mix CDs. A couple times I have DJed for parties,.... and now, this, online sharing with the world!
My biggest musical influences have been progressive rock (Yes, King Crimson, ELP) and acid rock (Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, Donovan, Moody Blues) through the 70s & 80s. In the early 80s I fell in love bigtime with new wave (Depeche Mode, New Order, Siouxsie, Jesus & Mary Chain), and frequented the local historic night club The Continental (sadly, no longer standing). In the early 90s I discovered techno, electronica, house, drum&bass, ambient. The last couple years I have been enjoying devotional and world fusion music (Deva Premal, Adham Shaikh) - helps to calm the nerves and raise the spirit in these crazy times.
