Funky Hits from 1973

A modest collection (11 tracks at 36m56s) of RnB tunes that all made it into the top 40 popular charts. These were originally part of a 2 CD compilation of pop/rock and RnB combined that I created 6.5 years ago. At the time I was very near the end of my 27 years as an employee at the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper and 1.5 years into my 3 year stay in Oakland after moving from San Francisco and before my move up to the Portland, Oregon area.

I always liked a good RnB tune, but my interest in that genre was given a boost by my years living in Oakland when I explored it in more detail. This is mostly a feel good mix that pretty much anyone should be able to enjoy..
