Unfortunately we had technical difficulties during part of this show, so we were only able to record the second half of it.
But we were able to listen to Lupe, a member of IUYA, who called in to talk about the organization, its mission, and SB207 and what that is about.
We also hear a story that Sarah made about her experience in Tucson, AZ. during her Border Studies program in 2012.
Then we hear a clip from Michelle Alexander answering the question "Is there racial bias in our criminal justice system?" in a segment about mass incarceration and its effect on the Afro-American and Latino communities in the US.
After that we hear Angela Davis speak about the Prison-Industrial Complex, and the usage of prisoners for low-wage jobs.
That and much more, on this episode.
