Soundtrack Be

Two years ago today Exhibit BE opened it's gates to the public. I had the honor of being named resident DJ and providing a musical background for those who came out to view the exhibit. I was anxious to not just play music but be a part of the exhibit making sure each selection and mix was as dope as the art on the walls. I aimed to be as dramatic, and captivating and as diverse as the art being presented. I needed the soundtrack to reflect the colors and textures that made up the experience, to add another dimension to what those coming thru the gates were feeling. Shortly after the exhibition was closed I rounded up some of the cuts I played in the space and created a sort of journal entry, that was more than a year ago. Please enjoy Soundtrack BE and if you haven't head out and visit Studio Be as soon as possible. Much love to B-Mike and so many others who made this experience worth remembering.
