IAN KENYON is one of the co founders of the original OLD SKOOL scene in LIVERPOOL back in early 90s, after being inspired by the birth of house music in the city in the lates 80s in THE STATE , then later at QUADRANT PARK Ian got some decks and learned his DJ’ing skills performing for several years in local pubs and clubs around his home patch of Prescot & Huyton. In January of 1993 he opened his first second hand record shop offering rare and hard to find dance music, that was RED HOT VINYL in the Liverpool Palace Complex, Ian was just 21.

This led to him breaking into the Liverpool City music scene and he became a resident DJ at LIVERPOOL’S 1st weekly old skool classics event called simply “CLUB CLASSIC ” playing alongside friend and founder Tommy Foley, working with the likes of quad legend Mike Knowler & DJ Nipper, there began his career as a DJ, performing sets in most of the big clubs and bars in and around Liverpool including, The Courtyard @ NATION , CLUB 051 , GARLANDS ,
