Undeniably South Africa's most popular DJ duo, the Pimp Squad was formed in 2001 when Guy Herman and Jon S, both established DJ's in their own right, teamed up at legendary JHB club, Sublime, for its first ever "Boiling Point" event. Two DJ'S / Four Turntables / Two DJ Boxes at either end of the dancefloor, and so the legend was born. The duo have been partners in crime ever since, rocking dance floors across the continent, playing alongside and working with some of the biggest names in the industry.
They describe their music as "a fusion of deep & tech house" which has become their signature sound. Laced with live samples and explosive mixing, every Pimp Squad performance is memorable. They've been at the forefront of the JHB house music revolution since the early days of 206 and Reality, holding down countless residencies, guest slots and tv/radio appearances over the years, headlining almost every major event and respectable venue on the SA dance scene.
