Dear Mixcloud friends

Thank you so much for your amazing support for my two wonderful guests, Werner aka DJ Linientreu64 and Claus Pieper.

I'm thrilled to present my latest vinyl only session Shadow Frequency.

“Shadow Frequency” dives into the silent spaces beneath the surface — where emotions and memories exist without words. The music feels like a quiet signal from within. Secrets that don’t need to be explained, only felt.

Thank you for listening and I always appreciate your feedback.

I wish you a wonderful weekend, take care and stay safe.
Phil

This set is incredible Phil, amazing deep tracks and expert mixing skills. So impressed with this set. What a selection of tracks you’ve chosen for us 🙌💃🙌💃

Phil Moreno

Thank you so much, dear Liz, for your wonderful feedback and for listening. I'm so glad you wrote. The current weather conditions aren't exactly ideal for internet use 😎 So it's all the more wonderful to see that you took the time. I wish you a great week with hopefully pleasant temperatures 🤗🫶🙏🌴🌞

Liz Dreher

@Phil_Moreno it’s constant it, over in the UK we are just not equipped for heatwaves. Vast majority of us have no air conditioning so it’s not pleasant! I hope you are managing to keep cool my friend 🤗🤗🤗

Phil Moreno

@LizCDreher That's the same in our country; we're more prepared for heating because of the winter and not for temperatures above 37 degrees 😅

Liz Dreher

@Phil_Moreno yeah it’s battling the cold weather you usually have to contend with. I’m not sure which is worse, the cold for me I think as I feel cold weather terribly, although this is not pleasant either 😂. We’re never happy with the weather! 🙄😆

Phil Moreno

@LizCDreher 😂 😆

Ineshka

It starts off so well, with that lovely transition into one of Moby's most beautiful tracks in this lovely version 😍🎶🎧

Phil Moreno

Thank you so much, dear Ineshka, for your wonderful feedback. The first track holds great significance for me. When it came out back in 1993, hearing it at big raves was simply incredible. The sound was magical, the feeling unique. Even today, the track still sounds as fresh as it did back then. I particularly like this remix because it largely preserves the original—everything is just much slower. Moby’s track "Go" changed my perspective back in 1991. I had already been captivated by the music in the late 80s when the first wave of Acid House hit Europe, but "Go"—especially the Woodtick version—was a true revelation. It still sounds brilliant today. Moby is amazing.

Ineshka

@Phil_Moreno Thank you for sharing that, Phil. I always enjoy hearing the stories behind the music, it gives the mix even more depth. It's amazing how some tracks never lose their magic 🙏🏻✨️🎶🫶

Phil Moreno

@ineshka I still get goosebumps every time I hear the break in the track "Follow Me." It feels like taking flight. Back in 1993, it was a real community. No mobile phones, no social media—you’d stand on the dance floor listening to a sound that was absolutely incredible. You’d look at the people around you and see that everyone was feeling the same thing. No hassle, no stress, no violence—just a good time.

Ineshka

@Phil_Moreno Beautifully said. The music brought people together in a way that's hard to explain unless you were there. Now it's different and it feels like a virtual battle for some 😅 but for those who understand, it's also an interesting sharing experience for those who put their heart and energy into it without trying to compare themselves unnecessarily 😊✨️🌐🎶

Phil Moreno

@ineshka What you’re writing is absolutely right. The many incredible artists here on Mixcloud and their phenomenal sessions demonstrate this as well 🫶

JP aka Wolfman Jack

A truly stunning show Phil which displays your wonderful skills and musical knowledge. I must also say that your preface on the mix where you speak of those "silent" spaces beneath the surface resonated with me fully as it is a place I regularly find myself in while listening to certain sets. This morning that space was such a comfort for me as with the passing of Rinas father yesterday so unexpectedly, I needed a place where it was about feeling rather than the use of words. Bless your precious gift Phil. It is rare these days. Sending so much love in huge thanks and gratitude as we all here wish you a lovely and blessed week ahead, xoxoxoxoxoxoxo❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Phil Moreno

Dear JP, dear Rina,

Please accept my deepest condolences for your tragic loss 🖤

Life has truly tested both of you this year, presenting you with one challenge after another. I sincerely hope that you will continue to face these hardships with the same strength and grace you have shown so far, and that your lives will soon find calmer waters again. I truly wish that for both of you from the bottom of my heart 🫶❤️

Dear JP, I also want to thank you for your wonderful comment and for tuning in. It means a great deal to me that, during such an extraordinarily difficult time, you still took the time to show me your kindness, appreciation, and respect. That is far from something I take for granted, and I feel deeply honoured by it 🙏

Thank you both so very much. I sincerely hope that the sun will soon shine brightly for both of you again.

With my warmest regards,

Phil

Nice mix brother, it's impressive that you can transfer so many elements from already - sounds - styles and moods - in a limited time, especially when you play with vinyl the work always acquires greater value when it includes a lot of information! Well done my friend, you did a great job and I'm glad you left me with Acid crazy in my mind for the end! A big hug Phil! 😍🤜🤛💙🎚🎛🎧🎛🎚👌

Phil Moreno

Thank you very much, dear George, for your wonderful feedback and for engaging so deeply with my session. I truly appreciate it. Thank you for your appreciation, recognition, and respect. I wish you a wonderful week, my friend 🤗🫶🙏

I discovered this track thanks to a Mixcloud creator. Pure Analog played it during one of his recent sessions. Absolutely brilliant.
