The PHAT! Show is one of the oldest Rap shows on German Radio!
It all started with the launch of the “alternative” Radio station HOT FM in Hof October 3rd 1996. Right there DJ Foldout saw the opportunity to start his own Rap show and the PHAT! Show was born.
In the beginning the show aired every Wed and Sat and was hosted by Cengiz. One year later Urs aka UK took over and hosted the show until Nov 1999. In May 2000 Miko Da MicController became the new host and put his stamp on the show.
Since HOT FM was shut down in 2002 the PHAT! Show got picked up by Radio Galaxy and is still on Air.
DJ Foldout and Miko Da MicController have been Hip Hop fans since the early 80’s and grew up listening to US artists. Therefore 99% of the tracks played on the show are from the US althou sometimes songs from the UK, Canada, Germany and other countries are thrown in the mix.
