Kent based musician and songwriter, Paul Dunton leads his own cross-over orchestra providing an uplifting mix of pop and americana with a unique cinematic twist. Performing a mix of Paul’s own compositions and a varied selection of uniquely arranged standards, The Orchestra is comprised of violins, cellos, flute, bass, guitar and drums, Paul himself on keys/vocals and his lead vocalists, Poppy Raine and Kirsti Ferguson. In 2016, Paul and the orchestra were featured on BBC Radio 2 by Joan Armatrading with interviews and airplay of one of Paul’s songs, ‘Don’t Forget’. This led to Paul supporting Joan Armatrading on five occasions during her recent UK tours. In the last few years, Paul & The Orchestra have also successfully toured across Germany and the USA , performing in 10 different states! Plans for 2023 include returning to the recording studio to begin work on a new EP and to actively perform throughout the year at a range of UK festivals, concert venues and music clubs.
