Born and raised in the streets ofJackson Heights, New York, Bravo is labeled as an electronic dance music and house artist. As a young up and comer, he deejays a variety of events - from Brooklyn raves and house parties, to rooftops in Manhattan - in pursuit of making his own mark in the dance music scene. Proving his versatility, Bravo has also deejayed open format parties, in which his crowds have called for reggae, hip-hop and Spanish urban music.
The name Bravo was inspired by a popular kid's cartoon that aired on the television network Boomerang, Johnny Bravo. He coined the nickname in high school, but upon entering his sophomore year at Baruch College, decided to add "Papi" to the moniker, as a way to pay homage to his Latin American descent.
As a producer, Papi Bravo has honed an underground sound, with elements of progressive, trance and big room house. Currently, he deejays for Baruch College's WBMB 94.3FM.
