Born in Wilson, North Carolina, Pruitt Poythress moved to Wilmington in 2004. Passionate about his music, he made his start while DJing a house party, and was offered a job by the promoter of Sputnik, formerly The Penthouse, nightclub. Thus began his reign as PRUITT with a promotion to head DJ of the most popular college night in Wilmington. He has since performed at nightclubs across the UNITED STATES from North Carolina to California.
