Peterborough City and Youth Radio is a community radio station based in Workspace House in Woodston, Peterbororugh which is totally run by volunteers. The station was started in July 2012 with Youth at its core. Our aims are to give young people a chance to experience the thrill of what it’s like to be broadcasting live on internet radio and to receive the interaction from their audience. We also try to offer the best possible media and technical training in all aspects of our station. We have been very successful with some 40 or so young presenters having been involved during our first year having a regular audience of over 2500 unique listens, listening over 8000 times every month. We have attended a number of outside events and also carried out some outside broadcasts.

We have now realised there is a desperate need for a full time community broadcast station in Peterborough, so we have now expanded our ambitions. We have rebranded the station to Peterborough City & Youth Radio
