Ominous Rival grew up in a world very different to this urban jungle we call Joburg, far from all "civilization" as we know it. This world is known as Botswana. A raw culture, foreign language and lack of prejudice helped mould a free spirit and an open mind to music, cultures and people from all walks of life. After the formative years, she relocated to the RSA where she took residence in a place known to most quite infamously as "the Vale". It was here that her love for the Joburg music scene, vibe and energy started to form and take a hold that would soon envelope her and flourish into a passion and keen ear to underground music and all it had to offer.
In 2014 her love for music and fascination with the art of DJing culminated in her persuing the dream and so the hard work began.
