Omdatik is the first album released by Nico Tripaldi. It is an anthology made up of tracks which hold most importance and have been composed as early as 1997. It represents the sum of the deep passion for electronic music and reflects the artistic soul of its author.
The use of analog instrumentation (mostly vintage) is the starting point of the collection. As well as 70's monophonic and 80's polyphonic synths, Nico used strings machines, drum machines, midi sequencers such as Roland Msq-700 and Atari STf1004 and circuit-bent devices such as tape recorders and old toys. Common lines of Omdatik's tracks are the pronounced rhythmic attitude, the frequent solid dance digressions and the obsessive research of the instruments. This gives to the album a defiant and in the mean time canonic spirit.
