Obwaka is DJ with versatile music collection and he is a freestyle multi media artist born and raised from Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya. Since August 2017 he’s been developing his career as a DJ in the lively nightlife of Kampala. In his DJ sets you experience a variety of afro/tribal house to techno and atmospheric down tempo and from hip-hop to afro pop.
His music vibe is based on having brought up by Madilu System, to Kanye West and afro vibes from Runtown to running into Nato to Drumetic Boyz and Black Coffee to experimental.
After being based in Kampala for almost 3 years on and off, he has been involved with contemporary freestyle photography and creating new musical project that involves frequency ranges, loops and sampling as a technique into a new series of samples and remix audio project. He has collaborated and performed in different multi media projects from Uganda, Tanzania,
Rwanda and Kenya. Collaborative projects with French and German Institute in Kampala.
