OKOFUNK was born as Okan with Turkish roots in Germany (Cologne) and grew up there.
As he was a child he grew up with pop, break dance and hip-hop music in the 80s.
At the beginning of the 90s he was influenced from Cologne, Berlin, Detroit and Chicago electro/techno/acid and later in mid 90s house music.
End of the 90s he had few own small parties which he organized with his closest friends and played also in small events for a short time.
After a long break, he started producing music at the beginning of 2018 and also released 12 tracks on major platforms and 1 on Midtownhouse Label.
His DJ Mixes was aired at Radios like @mdlbeast frequencies (KSA), @ibizaglobalradio (ES), @radiodeep_net (CH), @whitelabelradiooff (FR), @redroomsessionsindia (IN) and @night-swim-radio (US).
Since january 2022 he joined the @radioelectronicajena Team, where he played every month new and unreleased music.
The music preferences are between House, Deep House, Soulful House, Detroit/Chicago Techno/House.
