As a child, I often traveled from the United States to Scotland to visit family. At twelve years old, in 1993, I vividly remember lying awake at night, jetlagged, listening to BBC Radio and whatever stations I could find on my Walkman. During those quiet hours, I discovered sounds and music I had never heard before. I didn’t know how to define it, but I knew it resonated deeply with me.

From then on, every visit included trips to HMV or Virgin Records, searching for the latest electronic music to bring home. That exposure fueled a lifelong passion. Although it was always my dream to play and produce music, I didn’t pursue it right away. Years later, a challenging period in my life pushed me to finally follow that dream.
