The Search

There's some deeply beautiful stuff bookending this bunch of spiritual jazz beauties. Maritamaria, in particular, is achingly gorgeous. It's from an Argentinian album and every track is to this standard. Worth hunting out.

And I actually made an effort trying to blend the vocals on the Chico track into the opening solo sax track from Maurice Mcintyre - altered the pitch and everything.

By the way (and I know no-one gives a shit, but just in case...) I am NOT a crate digger. Most of the stuff I mix on here has been shared by others. I am indebted to the fabulously generous online jazz community that has shared a treasure trove of 70s jazz over recent years.

The most recent blog I've come across sharing a host of out of print gems is http://endlessplanets.blogspot.co.uk/ - and three of the tracks here are from him. Check the site out. Absolute goldmine.
