Nia Charpentier is a journalist and presents East Cast, a radio programme on NTS and Resonance FM covering arts and culture listings, interviews and new music from East London.
Being half German, half English and growing up trilingually in rural Wales before living in Germany, Sri Lanka and London, Nia’s work comes from a varied backdrop.
Among the people Nia has interviewed are gang members, Turner Prize winning artists, Olympic athletes, award winning film makers and political activists. She balances out hectic London life with regular trips back to Wales, giving her the space and time to think about who she might interview next.
