Growing up with minimal art music (Phillip Glass, Steve Reich), her passion for repetitive patterns and consonant harmony came naturally at an early age. House music started to significantly influence her in the early ’90s. Electronic dance music soon became her oxygen and the dancefloor her life.
In 2013 Myrte exchanged Amsterdam’s buzzing city life for a Caribbean lifestyle on Bonaire island. Although she enjoyed island life, the lack of good house music was too big. In 2018 she started to DJ herself to contribute to the small local house scene.
Myrte has a soft spot for the harder styles and immense love for a deep bass sound. She is known for her dreamy and organic deep house tunes played on Bonaire’s beaches and her melodic hard techno sets during nightlife.
