Muscle Memory is a new band by artists Steven Reker and Michael Tapper, veterans of the New York music world who initially connected while DJing regularly at spaces such as Nightmoves, MoMA, and The Lot Radio. Inspired to create music that would feel at home in their DJ sets, they began using vintage synthesizers and drum machines to channel the ethos of Synth-Pop, Italo-Disco, and Post-Punk into contemporary dance songs.
