I've been playing vinyl for about twenty years now as Mr Christopher Stone in and around Te Waipounamu, New Zealand, having stolen the name from a well known BBC DJ back in the 1930s who was reputedly the first at the BBC to be playing two gramophones for his radio shows. He was also my fathers favourite DJ growing up in London during the blitz.
I chose the name because it reminds me how timeless a recording becomes, and this colours my efforts and my passion for music to this day, collecting everything from old jazz and blues to modern electronica and hip-hop.
And that brings me to my current journey with Reaper and mixing electronically using digital formats. Some of these involve remixes I have created, and are dedicated to all the artists featured and all the others I love. Hope you enjoy. Input and aroha appreciated!
