Echo Drift Music is a generative ambient project by composer and sound designer Robert Bain, focused on the creation of immersive, non-linear sound worlds. The project explores gradual sonic transformation through evolving textures, spectral movement, and system-driven processes, producing works that unfold over extended timescales. Central to Echo Drift Music is the concept of drift, a compositional approach that prioritises fluidity, ambiguity, and perceptual immersion over conventional narrative or rhythmic structure. The resulting works function as abstract environments rather than linear compositions, inviting listeners to engage with sound as a spatial and experiential medium.
