Move_into_Being

Mon & John (Monica Chatterjee & John Metcalf) are DJs and hosts of Move Into Being, a monthly Ecstatic Dance held in Leigh-on-sea, Essex, UK. Their sets are deliberately eclectic as they lovingly curate tunes that take dancers on a journey into all parts of themselves. Ecstatic Dance, at it's best, is a 'moving meditation' where the chattering mind takes a back seat & you come back to life in it's wholeness - no need for drugs to get this high.
Mon was a clubber in the 90's and DJed Underground House & Garage on vinyl. Keeping the vibe alive for her led to meditation, 5 rhythms & Ecstatic dance.
John discovered Ecstatic dance through Monica and immediately found a passion for it. Having practiced Buddhism for 15 years, he is always open to discovering new ways of connecting to his essence. John is usually found growing food & grounding in the soil at home and allotment.
