The Mothership DJ collective includes Jo and Lindsay, both mums in their 40s. Despite knowing each other since the age of 14 and always sharing a love of dance music they got into DJing late in life. Around 10 years ago they both found themselves back in the small market town of Louth where they grew up, looking for opportunities to go out clubbing and lose themselves in rave music. When they couldn't find what they needed they decided to do it themselves. In the past decade Mothership has DJed at local bars and clubs, and small festivals. They set up alternative discos and club nights and turned to live-streaming during lockdown. Jo from Mothership also DJs on her own as well as part of the duo. They enjoy taking the dancefloor on a joyful journey across genres including rave, house, drum and bass and disco, with a few other surprises thrown in.
