In my past life as a preschool teacher, my students at the Jewish preschool I worked at called me "Mora Rachey," because Mora means teacher in Hebrew. Presently, I teach several yoga classes each week. After searching fruitlessly for the perfect music to accompany my classes, I decided to learn how to DJ in order to be able to offer my students a fully immersive experience. Now, I make a new hour long mix once a week. Each mix begins and ends with an ambient, meditative track to turn the focus inward and relax, and builds up to a crescendo during the heat of our practice. Every mix is wordless, so as to avoid distraction from focussing on the body and listening to the instruction. The tracks flow seamlessly from one to another, with no disruptive breaks, and incorporate a variety of melodies and beats from around the world. I hope you enjoy these musical offerings, and that they enhance your yoga practice.
