Ricardo Roman Jr. Stage Name (Money Gramz)
Growing up in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn rapping was easy for Money Gramz. He got known for his skill by engaging in numerous freesyles with the likes of well known underground acts such as Geda K, Livin Proof, and Joell Ortiz. He was also in several cyphas with Memphis Bleek in which he became familar with through Bleek's cousin who he grew up with. Joell Ortiz took him to a studio session with D.j Stretch ArmStrong and Mike Heron while they were mixing down some of Big L's "The Big Picture" album. Mike told him that he was future which inspired him to write his first real song called "I'm Crack" in which he used himself speaking in 3rd party as being the actual drug. In the song he explains the highs and lows of the sell and usage of it. The whole metaphorical concept and witty punch lines open people's eyes to a new artist and soon enough the streets demanded his music.
