Mr. R!ck (previously known as Ice and Dr. Beats) began his DJ career playing trance in New
York during 2001. Influenced by artists such as: ATB, Oceanlab, Armin van Buren, and Robert
Miles he quickly made his mark on the rave scene, playing countless underground desert and
forest events. After becoming established in the underground he landed residencies at the
Limelight in NY, The Metrodome, and frequently played at Plush Night Club in San Francisco.
He’s also had several overseas performances at Jet in Ibiza, Utrecht in the Netherlands, and at
Club Hook in Seville Spain which at the time was one of the hottest venues in the country. After
a seven year hiatus he returned to the scene to find his taste in music and his crowd had
matured. He then switched to playing House. After five years of playing in clubs and at
undergrounds all up and down Northern and Southern California he began to feel the need for
something new.
