These recording are part of a project called Deserted Island Discs created by the charity Mind Yourself, with support from the Ireland Fund of Great Britain. We wanted to make space for Irish men to talk about their lives through the music that influenced them. The music is as diverse as the stories themselves.

The London Irish community in all its diversity has made a huge contribution to this city. But Irish people experience serious health inequalities, Mind Yourself is dedicated to addressing these and supporting Irish people in London to improve or maintain their physical or mental health.
