Originating from Columbus, Ohio, Darin Smith, aka DJ Daz, began DJing for private parties and school dances while still in high school. Inspired by the professional DJs at the time who mixed music and manipulated turntables to create exciting sets and energize the crowds, Darin’s passion was born. As he perfected his DJ skills, he developed his knowledge and appreciation for all music, regardless of genre and era and now mixes his own entertaining sets for a variety of occasions and audiences.
Darin’s DJ career spans over 30 years and during that time he has performed at club residences, corporate events, weddings, college events and various private parties. In the 80s and 90s, Darin was renowned for playing at many of the bars and clubs on the Ohio State campus and Short North area.
Darin is now the heart and soul of Mile High Music Studio where he provides professional DJ Services and sound systems for corporate events, weddings and dances to name a few.
