Born in the back of a Greyhound Bus somewhere between Canada and the Gulf on I-35, DJ Groove was born to move.  His love of music and song was discovered in a box of 45rpm records hidden in a basement during the height of the Cold War, inspiring a passion for the sounds and stories of both past and  future artists.

Like many of his generation, DJ Groove "tuned in, turned on and dropped out" in the search for authenticity and found much to discover in the world of music.  DJ Groove gained an appreciation for music written and performed from the "bottom up" in the face of increasingly commercial forms of music.  When asked to pick a label for his musical tastes, he simply states: "tell 'em it's Outlaw Music, and Outlaw's come in all forms."

From old-timey work songs to Hip-Hop and almost everything in-between, DJ Groove is pleased to be able to share the music he enjoys in his never-ending quest to mine the depths of the human experience.
