If Wolfgang Jack and John Peel had had a baby, it would probably behave like DJ Lockdown. At least until its parents told it to stop.
Lockdown started spinning as a stand-in in an early 80s Soho nightclub, but stood idle for the next 40 years before re-emerging post-pandemic as an idiosyncratic antidote to more-or-less anything.
Less a 70s time slip than siss-poaked avalanche, Lockdown delights in annoying jingles, irritating sound effects, a fake accent and spoof commercials, all interrupting some (thankfully) fantastic music.
From start to somewhere else, DJ Lockdown's Midnight Mugwumps is THE place to spend 45 minutes - even if you do switch off after 5.
