I've bought my first single when I was ten. It was the amazing "I Got mY Mind Made Up" from Instant Funk, Salsoul Rcords, Larry Levan's remix and a pink vinyl record. Very very disco. After those nine minutes of hypnotic congas and cosmic funk, that was it: I was totally hooked! Borrowed a mixer from a friend, got two turntables around it and started playing records. Ever since, I've been zig-zagging through pretty much everything that would "talk to my legs".
