Megabass, Mastermix producers Martin Smith & Darren Ash who from Mastermix Issue 11 became an instant hit with members due to their unique style of mixing and 'radical' edits!

They also produced mixes under the pseudonym Def On A Rival.

It wasn't until the early '90s when their first commercial mix single 'Time To Make The Floor Burn' reached number 16 in the UK charts that Megabass began to enjoy worldwide recognition & to add to their success, their debut album 'Megabass' reached even greater heights in the UK album charts which then spawned two follow up albums, Megabass 2 & 3.

In 1991, the 'battle of the DJs' commenced with the Hit the Decks series, showcasing Megabass's talents by going head to head with top DJs such Two Little Boys, Unity, Carl Cox, Slipmatt & Lime and Krome & Time, resulting in 3 successful albums worldwide.
